Jaclyn Henderson lives with faith.  A poet, writer and quilt artist, Jaclyn has worked in and offers  alternative therapies to promote wellness.

A retired Licensed Massage Practitioner and Energy Medicine Therapist, Jaclyn taught massage practicum at Seattle Massage School and Energy Therapy at SMS, Tacoma Community College, many schools and her home based business, The Right Touch Healing Arts Center.

Jaclyn was feature author and columnist for Massage and Bodywork Magazine, 1996 - 1999, and many other publications (see her Publications page).  She has offered classes in Writing Therapy at Armchair Books and has been asked to offer classes at other schools.  See the Alternative Therapies page for further information, and her Calendar for all dates and contacts.

 Jaclyn's first book of poetry, The Wisdom to Grow Downwards was self-published July, 2003.  Her second book of poetry, Full Circle was finished September, 2003.  Jaclyn's third poetry book, Inexpensive Entertainment was completed in 2004.  She is now writing her 4th book of poetry: Second Coming.

Jaclyn was a Licensed Massage Practitioner, in 3 states (California, Colorado and Washington), 1981 - 2000, 20 years!  She also received her 1000 Hour Certificate in Massage and Related Healing Arts from the Colorado School of Healing Arts in 1992.  From 1980 - 1998 Jaclyn studied Energy Therapy (spiritual living and energy medicine), from many teachers.

Jaclyn graduated from the Robert D. Clarke Honors College, University of Oregon, with a B.A. in Independent Study and English Writing, 1990.  She then augmented her training with pre-medical and initial medical training in naturopathic medicine at Bastyr University, Seattle, WA.  She was a Pastoral Intern at St. Joseph Medical Center and is now in a MAPS program (Master of Arts in Pastoral Studies).  She offers free e-books.

Jaclyn lives with Multiple Sclerosis (14 years).  Her M.S. does not allow her to attend graduate school or to teach in a school setting.  She is ever-mindful of the healing needs of those with chronic and disabling illness, follows an allopathic and alternative medical plan of action, and listens to her body, mind and heart, for all healing messages.  Besides writing and quilting she enjoys daily art therapy and many other alternative therapies.
