Writing Therapy(TM) is Opening Up

Writing Therapy(TM) is a trademarked faith-based ministry, a writing expression education for age 18+, and is presented by Jaclyn Henderson, RC (Registered Counselor offering Pastoral Care) at Jaclyn's home, health-care settings and houses of worship.  Writing Therapy(TM) is offered September - June (July & August are vacation potpourris).  Jackie is a published author and retired Licensed Massage Therapist of 20 years who now lives with Multiple Sclerosis.

To receive a brochure send your snail-mail address to Jackie: 6811 Phillips Rd. SE, Port Orchard, WA  98367, or call her PST 360.895.8589, or email jaclynh@oz.net, or see the homepage at this website.

Writing Therapy(TM) offers therapeutic and expressive writing skills and faith increase for life, stress and illness.  All are welcome and you don't have to have any special knowledge of writing to attend!  Bring a pen and hand-held spiral bound notebook to learn, and offer yourself a Daily Write to increase wellness and faith.  Every monthly meeting pinpoints a specific genre topic to write, and each meeting ends with interested participant readings of their writing.  Jackie's Writing Therapy (TM) book is the first book in the book series.  Free-Will offering or donation is accepted for all Writing Therapy(TM) meetings.

Writing Therapy® is a benevolent, heart-centered and sensitive approach to increasing wellness through faith and understanding illness expression.  Writing Therapy(TM) is inspired by James W. Pennebaker's work and writing (Opening Up, The Healing Power of Expressing Emotions, Guilford Press, 1990) and the one year correspondence Jaclyn had with Dr. Pennebaker, May 2003 - May 2004.

Writing Therapy(TM) expresses your need to move the wheel of life ahead and heal past and present medically diagnosed illnesses and abuses, stress and your life events.  This work may be a viable form of alternative medicine and should not be used in place of sound conservative health care practice.  Writers are advised to consult a licensed physician for all serious health concerns.

Writing Therapy(TM) does not try to fix the 'hole in the wall,' but instead touches those who live in the flood.
